The Monsters We Made

Young Adult Novel (Ages 13-18)

Summary

In the world of The Monsters We Made, man has truly unlocked the genome. Editing genes is as easy as swapping parts on a car. When the tearing down of every molecule is at your fingertips, what is left to do? You build something new. Custom-Made Monsters are pitted against each other, and our protagonist, Jackson Judge, wants to show he can fight with the best of them. He’s spent his life fighting using his monster, Dude, and he’s just gotten his big break to fight with the eyes of the world on him. However, as he is torn between a blind revolutionary and his childhood hero, J. J. finds a dark underbelly to the world he hoped lived in the world of rumors.
